How do you deal with mistakes? I decided years ago to turn them around by extracting lessons from them, analyzing and praying for understanding until I clearly saw the core, diamond truths and governing principles. Then I applied those lessons to future experiences. While I could never hope to do everything right the first time, I could hope and pray to do much better the second.
